The Linear Transfer Machine LINEAR 6 is our response to a range of customers producing diamand brass ball on smaller batches who requires a wide dimensional range.
The machine is suitable for the machining of brass ball from 3/8” to 2”.
The feeding is made by means of an elevator and linear vibrator made by TUMAC.
This system is suitable for the feeding of bar stock, forged and casted parts.
The system is equipped with an automatic system to detect the diameter and the height of the parts and discard the ones not in compliance.
The machine frame is a double webbed walls steel cellular structure, designed with three-dimensional solid modeling, verified with software F.E.M. for the mesh analysis of finite elements and built for ensuring maximum stiffness and improving vibration absorption during machining.
The linear sideshift is made by hardened aluminium structure to ensure extreme rigidity and lightness.
The Y-Axis traverse is made by means of a brushless motor and ballscrew whilst the X-Axis travers is made by means of a linear motor in order to deliver higher accelerations without any wear.
The grippers are 2-Finger Parallel Gripper pneumatically driven mounted on extendible arms equipped with shock-absorbing cylinders to protect the system in case of collision or sudden movements.
Optionally the gripper can be internally equipped with magnetic sensors to detect the correct loading of the part.
The unloading of the ball is made by means of a pneumatic gripper which deposits the ball on a belt conveyor made by shockproof material not to damage the surface of the part.
The belt conveyor is protected by a cover pneumatically driven in order to avoid chips contamination during the machining operations.
